We are on the road, selling to anyone who will take us between Mile 0 and Mile 300 of the Alaska Highway!!! We left Fort Nelson at 7 this morning and have made a few sales so far!
In Wonowon parking lot, we ran into Liza Wolf, who bought 2 books! Thank you so much Liza!! We made our way out to the Doig Reserve to present Cheif Norman Davis with his copy of the book, as he and his band were one of my wonderful sponsors. I sold one book there, which is great, since they do not have a store for me to sell wholesale to. And I have to say that I was so impressed with Doig River First Nation. The band office is beautiful, the community is so clean, and everyone was speaking in their own language! Everyone was so friendly, it was such a pleasure just to be there! A big thank you to the Doig for their wonderful hospitality. Thinking their yearly rodeo is now on my list of things to do!!
Once we made it to Fort St John, the FSJ Museum bought a case to sell! Once we got to Dawson this evening, Bill's News purchased a few as well!!
We are doing well so far, hoping to move a few more cases tomorrow! We will also be heading out to West Moberly First Nation to present Cheif Roland Wilson with his copy, as they were another of my wonderful sponsors. They have a store or two along the way, so we will be hitting those as well!! Unfortunately Cheif Lynette Tsakoza from Prophet River First Nation was unavailable this week, so I will be making a special trip to see her next week.
A big thank you to my parents, who are chauffeuring me around! And David is being such a good boy, I am so proud of him! Looking forward to a good day of selling tomorrow!!
